Camping

We’ve listened and learned from Montanans, especially from families or groups, that there is a sincere interest and intent to use the new campsite reservation program, which begins on March 30. For the first year, campers can reserve a site during our peak season of 5/27-9/5. We will reevaluate the program this fall and possibly open it up for the entire camping season. There is a $10 processing fee for each campsite reservation.

Bannack State Park has two campgrounds that are sure to accommodate your needs. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire-ring. Firewood is available and trash disposal is provided. The Road Agent Campground is shaded by old cottonwood trees. The restroom is accessible. The Vigilante Campground is the larger of the two campgrounds and is more suitable for large RVs. Water is available. The tipi is located in the Vigilante Campground. Click here for information about staying in the tipi.

Tipi & campsite reservations are available starting March 30, 2011 by contacting Reserve America (toll free) at 1-855-922-6768 or on their website at www.campmt.com or www.reserveamerica.com
